Saturn-Uranus Opposition - How will it affect you?

In the last edition of Stellar Stuff we looked at the global implications of the current Saturn-Uranus opposition.  This fortnight we look at how the opposition will affect you on a personal level.

To do this you need to look up the two houses in your birth chart ruled by Virgo and Pisces (see below for full instructions).  Virgo and Pisces are always opposite each other on the horoscope wheel.  There are twelve houses in every birth chart distributed round the wheel like the numbers on a clock. The first house starts at the 9 o’clock point and then the houses are counted round anti-clockwise from there. Houses in a birth chart relate to different areas of life, such as your money, your relationships, your career or your health.  We are trying to determine which two areas of your life will be affected by the Saturn-Uranus opposition.

If you are unfamiliar with your chart go to www.astro.com and click on ‘Free Horoscopes’ and then ‘Personal Portrait’ and ‘Add a New Person’.  Once you have filled in your birth details you will receive a short horoscope report. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and under the heading ‘House Positions’, look up the two houses that are listed next to Virgo and Pisces.  (To help you understand the language, the Ascendant is the 1st house; the Imum Coeli is the 4th house; the Descendant is the 7th house and the Medium Coeli is the 10th house).

Once you know which houses are ruled by Virgo and Pisces, you can refer to the following table to see how you can best use the energies of the Saturn-Uranus opposition. This transit lasts for almost two years, so it’s worth making good use of this information. You don’t want to be left behind!  The house of Uranus is where you need to break free. The house of Saturn will ideally provide a platform to do this.

Key Astrological Events – November

The fire energy intensifies on the 16th as passionate Mars moves into Sagittarius, followed by the Sun on the 22nd, Mercury on the 23rd and the Moon on the 27th.

These planets all line up for the Sagittarius new moon on the 28th and as Sagittarius is the sign of truth, the truth will certainly be revealed in December as the Scorpio energy fades into the shadows. The Sabian symbol for this new moon is ‘Group Solidarity’ – the development of skill in group situations that test collective goals. Whatever truth emerges, the world will never be the same again.

Moon Placements - November

Launch projects at the New Moon, bring them to completion in the period from just before the Full Moon to the Third Quarter phase and wind them down and reflect on developments in the week before the next New Moon. Important events such as parties, conferences and weddings are best held close to the Full Moon or when the Moon is in the same sign as your Sun (or Star) sign.
