Spring Session commences 22 October!
Now is the time... What story wants to come through you?
- Bronwyn Smith - Australia
PROGRAM INSPIRATION –
Why Story, why now? When we watch, read or listen to a truthful story we have a genuine experience that goes way beyond the simple sharing of information. If it’s a good story, we leave feeling changed, expanded, with new perspectives on ourselves, our relationships and life itself. Unfortunately many of the stories being shared in our modern media are not portraying the highest vision for our planet and humanity at this time. They are instead projecting negative views of our world that heavily reinforce old paradigm views of violence, good vs. evil, etc.
In essence, the course on creative writing, the Writing the Story Within program is designed as a bridge... To empower emerging writers with a deep understanding of story and dynamic tools for accessing the higher creative voice within, so that we may anchor our inspired visions into authentic, engaging and meaningful stories on the page.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
This dynamic, multi-medium mentorship experience is designed as a doorway for today’s emerging writers and storytellers to bring inspired ideas for books, films and story off the shelf of possibility into reality, by building a powerful daily practice of truthful writing and story exploration over a month-long period.
Writing the Story Within can be accessed from anywhere in the world and includes:
- ‘Story Key’ lessons - 7 primary lessons (recorded and downloadable) exploring the fundamental pathway for bringing story ideas and inspiration into form on the page.
- Weekly LIVE interactive group calls (teleconference) – a chance to share and receive feedback from others on the path (also recorded and downloadable for later listening)
- Daily creative writing assignments designed to assist in opening the vault of your creative voice and anchor your learning into the fabric of your story.
- Personal creative mentorship - direct contact with author, screenwriter and story guide Chip Richards to help move through story blocks, plateaus and open your view of what’s possible for your story (participants have the opportunity to share and receive direct feedback and creative input in each of the live calls during the program. In addition, each student has the opportunity to submit a short piece or final treatment of a longer story to be reviewed and critiqued in detail at the end of the program.* More extensive and ongoing mentorship support is also available at an additional discounted fee for all participants of the Writing the Story Within program.
- The “Story Garden” conscious story community - all WSW participants will have the opportunity to be part of this ongoing initiative devoted to supporting the creative development of new and inspired stories into the world.

Nine Pillars – Learn the key fundamental focus points and essential stages of a well-told story, and how to apply these stages to trouble shoot and refine your story into a masterpiece.
Rhythms and Flow – Discover how to organically craft scenes that track truthfully and turn in unique ways, giving readers and audiences what they need from your story, in ways they never could have imagined!
Following the Heartbeat – Enter the gift of genuine connection with the pulse of your characters so that they become a potent guiding force in the crafting of your story, from truthful dialogue to the arc of their journey as a whole.
Steps on the path – Ignite your writing practice so that you move with great momentum from the dream of your story onto the page and well beyond.
