Understanding and managing energy

For many years now, I have been aware of a vibrational energy field that surrounds the physical body. I call this an energy tank. As an energy healing practitioner, I have had many opportunities to watch what happens when I assist a person to fill their energy tank. They immediately feel energised and more optimistic. My interest in energy has led me to understand that each person has a different way to fill up their energy tank quickly, and there are a variety of ways to do this.

What fills your energy tank?

Understanding and managing your energy

If you are not able to answer that question almost immediately, then I would like to suggest you take some time to find out. Once you have found out, you can consciously spend time creating more energy in your life and help others to do the same. Here are a few ideas that may stimulate and inform your self-enquiry.

Remember your true nature today

Words and picture by Heather Price

Heather Price column 3 picJust for today – I am grateful for so much in my life. To begin with, I am blessed to be the mother of three sons – amazing men, with big hearts and intelligent minds. They make their difference through their capacity to live their lives in the moment. They are all different, and what creates common ground between them, is their willingness to love and to be loved. They are not afraid of love.

I am also incredibly grateful for the beauty and the magic of nature, and my deep connection with the earth. Watching nature go through her natural cycle reminds me that it is perfect for me to also go through similar cycles. There are times when it seems there are no limits to the possibility of creation, as I thrive and am filled with the essence and spirit of life; like a tropical garden after a week of persistent rain. Then there are times when I feel parched and burnt out, like none of my ideas grow into anything, and all the seeds I plant die from lack of nurturing and sustenance. At these times I feel like a frustrated farmer out of favour with the weather gods, with a sense of being forsaken and abandoned, for there has been no lack of hard work or good intention – watching the crops fall over as the roots have no moisture to hold them, and the top soil being blown away from paddocks eaten down by starving animals. The ground opens up in dry creek beds, with great cracks forming patterns that appear beautiful to the artist's eye, and at the same time create despair, and the promise of death and destruction in both the landscapes with me and around me.

Manage your business by managing your thoughts and energies

By Heather Price

Having good energetic boundaries is essential in life and business, and learning how to illuminate and release the beliefs that limit you will transform your life. Here is a case study of 'Robert' and his story of success after he became aware of how to manage energy and thoughts, his own and others.

Case study:

Robert came to me in despair of losing everything he had worked 20 years to build – his business, relationship, home, and trust in himself as a successful business man. He had made a 'wrong' deal with partners who let him down, and was afraid he would lose everything, including his health, which was beginning to break down with stress.

It soon became clear to me that Robert had absorbed the energy of his business and his new partners; and had infiltrated his own fearful energy back into the business. In turn, he had unconsciously projected his toxic situation onto his partner. At the same time, his mother, with whom he had always been close, was projecting her worries to him through unseen chords. It was time for my client to create some clear energetic boundaries, and to take control of his mind. Together we put a plan in place, and over a few months, my client was able to turn his situation around. Now, three years later, my client still visits me on a monthly basis, and we spend our time celebrating his success in all areas of his life, and create exciting plans for the future.

Allow your business to grow by releasing its spirit

These days, given the economic climate we live in, it is good to be as switched on as we can be if we are to allow a business to grow to its full potential. Not only is it essential to employ sensible organisational skills, we will do well to tap into our creative and intuitive intelligence.

Not so long ago, I found myself in a place in my business where I have never been before. After many years of dedication and service to community and humanity, while continuously up-skilling and applying as many business marketing strategies as I was aware of, I thought I may have had to walk away and allow my business to die. And then I became aware of something; while I could see my business struggling in front of my eyes, I could actually feel it dying within me, and could sense that it was telling me it felt abandoned, and weary. The Spirit of my business had begun to prepare itself for death, and was shutting down. If my business was dying and I was still alive, then it must actually have a life force of its own.

When I stepped back from it, I realised that the spirit of my business had been seeded and nurtured through my dreaming of its creation.

Allow your business to grow by releasing its spirit

All these years I had thought the business was a part of my spirit, and had kept it so close to me, bossing it around, and telling it what to do and what not to do. I'd showed my disappointment in it often enough – and I lost faith in it too easily. No longer! The change came about when I began to separate out from it, taking time out for myself away, and gave it some breathing space to grow on its own. Finally I had learned to trust it, treating and speaking to it with love and respect, and great gratitude. Here is the prayer I wrote to it in its darkest hour:
